At 4:30 pm on March 4th Iraq local time, the R679 well, drilled by ZPEC Rig 26 Team, finished drilling successfully.  This well spudded-in at 6:00 am on February 17th with the designed well depth of 2,555.1 meters.  The designed drilling cycle was 20.58 days but the actual drilling cycle was 15.44 days.  The drilling was completed 5 days in advance, which created the best construction record since the BP Project entered the Rumaila Oil Zone.

The early drilling completion of Well R679 further enhanced the company's brand awareness in the Rumaila Oilfield. By successfully drilling three wells since entering this oil zone, ZPEC’s BP Project stands out from many other oil service companies in the oilfield and has won high recognition and praise from BP.  (Reported by Tao Xiaobo)
