At 5:20 pm on May 19th, good news came from Shangxi Dingbian County.  The year-to-date accumulated drilling footage of ZPEC No. 6 Team reached 20,000 meters, becoming the first ZPEC team to reach that depth this year, as well as the first among all 59 drilling teams working at the Qingqing Oilfield No. 6 Oil Recovery Plant.  Additionally, this depth was reached 20 days ahead of last year’s pace.

Since its first spud in on March 5th, ZPEC No. 6 Team has spudded 11 wells and handed over 10 wells.  As such, they have been awarded the “Outstanding Drilling Team” by the Qingqing Oilfield No. 6 Oil Recovery Plant for last three years.
